On Wednesday, we celebrated the end of ‘It’s a Kind of Magic’.
We participated in a range of different magical scientific experiments.
This week, Oak Class have worked with Green Screen, in order to produce their own newsround, focusing on the class text, The Secret Keepers.
In Maths, Y6 have continued with their fluency and problem solving around column multiplication. They went on a hunt for a range of numbers and returned to use multiplication, to create calculations as close as possible to the target numbers.
Today, children from Oak Class represented Knayton at the Thirsk Schools Tag Rugby competition.
Both teams were fantastic and put maximum effort into everything.
Knayton A did brilliantly, finishing second in their group, losing just 1 game to eventual winners, Thirsk CP. They needed up winning the 3rd place play off.
On Monday, we created a range of art, inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy.
We focused on using natural resources within the forest school environment.
Today, Y5 went exploring in Forest Schools, looking for numbers.
They had to use these numbers, in order to create addition and subtraction calculations, to reach target numbers.
This week at forest schools, Oak Class looked at creating a variety of Forest Schools wildlife art, using natural resources.
Oak Class have continued to create their pocket watches.
